Extra Money Earning Tips
Big named brands such as Woolies and Ponden Mill have gone into to administration, jobs are being cut and the recession is starting to sting. Many of us aren`t expecting a pay rise this year as companies tighten their belts and get slightly stricter regarding promotions and bonuses. At times like these, more than ever, we need a few tips to earn a bit of extra money. So, that`s what this article is going to provide! We`re going to talk about earning some additional funds on top of your day job.
Paid Surveys
Paid surveys are one way which many people think they can earn extra money, but it really isn`t all it`s cracked up to be. Fewer and fewer websites offer money as a form of compensation for completing questionnaires these days and they`re also only paying a few pence for each of them.
Add to that the fact you`re probably only personally `eligible` for a questionnaire once a month (or less) and you can see how impossible it is to earn money by completing surveys. Many sites offer money off purchases or even chocolate bars as payment for filling out questionnaires, so only bother with survey sites if you`re bored and fancy being entered in to loads of tacky prize draws!
Your Own Website
You could set up your own website. If you have the web savvy or know someone good with computer skills this is one genuine way to make some extra money on the internet. There are a few different ways to set up a small web-based business using a website. We`ll give you a brief overview of some of them:
Online Stores - If you have a product you can sell online why not give it a go? Setting up an online store will cost some cash initially. You`ll need a web designer to make the website and create a secure shopping cart/payment system. If that`s daunting why not just start by using Ebay?
Affiliate Websites - Affiliate websites work in a way that benefits everyone: the consumer, the affiliate and the merchant. Merchants have products they want to sell and an affiliate will promote those products on their website. Whenever a consumer finds a deal they like on an affiliates site they click through the link and make a purchase. That purchase is then tracked by the merchant and the affiliate earns a commission on that sale. A commission can be a small percentage of the sale such as eight percent, or a set fee such as £120 for a mobile phone referral.
Ad Revenue Sites- If you just love talking about some random topic like fishing, or model trains you can still make money online. Whenever someone clicks on an advert on your website you could earn a few pence for referring each of them.
Remember: Although paid surveys can be fun they can`t make you rich. To earn a real extra income you`d need to start a real online business.
